We offer playshops and facilitate gatherings of spontaneous creations between musicians, poets, artists and dancers, demonstrating the importance of the arts to the evolution of our culture as well as to our common humanity.
Sunday Late Afternoon Music Salon
March 19, April 16
time: 5:00p-7:00p with potluck afterwards
For those of you who have come, you know how comfortable and delightful our gatherings are.
For those of you who are interested in checking this out, here's what you can expect...
Music is about belonging.
It is, in fact, an expressive language, transcending the boundaries of spoken language; no matter what our particular experiences, we can engage in musical conversation in a myriad of ways.
And so we welcome all folks who want to explore their musical selves.
No particular experience is necessary, ONLY an openness to explore and collaborate with others.
This approach is NOT focused on specific tunes (though a familiar tune could certainly emerge here and there)!
Alison facilitates the gathering, creating a supportive and joyful space.
Bring an instrument or two if you have them, including hand drums or percussion instruments, or just your voice.
We meet at studioMahalo in Saxapahaw. Email Alison at aliMahalo1 at gmail dot com or give a call at 919.928.6886 for directions and more information. Hope you will join us!
