Randa McNamara and Erica McAdoo: Cabaret and Conversation

Join us for a very special event - Cabaret and Conversation. Erica McAdoo will be in the studio to inspire the conversation. She is a wonderful, committed and enthusiastic woman who has stepped up as the Democratic Party candidate to challenge Republican Steve Ross for the District 63 Seat (Alamance County) in the North Carolina House of Representatives. I am thrilled to have an opportunity to have you meet her! To make our gathering even more delicious, award-winning singer/songwriter/altogether delightful human being Randa McNamara will offer songs from her eclectic repertoire that will make you laugh/cry/ponder. I will have the distinct pleasure of accompanying her in performance! Between Erica and Randa, you will leave the event hopeful, energized and ready to continue forward!

Erica is not a professional politician; this is her first campaign.  Born and raised in North Carolina, she lives in Alamance County in a 100-year-old farmhouse with her husband, daughters, 3 goats, 30 chickens, 3 dogs, and 3 cats, and is the Firm Manager for The Paynter Law Firm. She teaches at Guilford College and Meredith College and is currently an MBA candidate at ECU.  (By the way, and so exciting to me, Erica has a Master of Music degree from Appalachian State so maybe we can get her to play a little piano!)

Erica is motivated to run because, as a resident and a mom, she believes that Mr. Ross and his Republican colleagues are leading North Carolina in the wrong direction.  You can learn more about her and her campaign at her website https://ericafornchouse.com/ or on her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/EricaforNCHouse/  Come meet her and hear what she has to say about her concerns and her commitment to change!

This will be very informal, with some serious refreshments.  Erica will take a few minutes to introduce herself and talk a bit about the issues that have compelled her to run and the kinds of effort that will be needed to run a successful campaign to replace Mr. Ross.  There will be information about how to support Erica, though there will be, of course, no obligation.

Feel free to pass the word and bring along others that you think may be interested.  Please let me know if you can join us, simply by responding to this email; I will send you directions and parking information.

Together we come to make the difference!
Alison
