SC34 GREWEN & GRIFFANZO

St. Valentine is blessing our studio. If you have gotten yourself down to Imbibe, a swell little restaurant/bar in downtown Chapel Hill where Grewen & Griffanzo have been holding court every Monday evening since 2016, you know what a delight they are. If you have not, here’s a fantastic opportunity for a delightful intimate evening of jazz and otherwise!

doors open at 6:30p for schmoozing with everyone; performance will begin at 7:00p

a suggested offering of $20-$25 will be gratefully received at the gathering

studio events are generally email and word-of-mouth invitation-only.
visit the Say Hey page to receive more info, RSVP, driving and parking directions.

Here’s what these gentlemen have to say about themselves:

Danny Grewen is a trombone player and singer originally from San Francisco. Since relocating to North Carolina in 2015 he has been performing with many groups including Ellis Dyson and the Shambles, Swedish Wood Patrol, The Yeaux Katz, and Grewen and Griffanzo. "Beauty is in the ear of the beholder."
Robert Griffin (Griffanzo) has spent most of his time in the Triangle besides teaching at Syracuse University and at UNC -Asheville while fronting the Round Midnight Jazz Band. Music Director of the Chez Condoret Cabaret, soundtrack producer for UNC TV and pianist with the Squirrel Nut Zippers and Katharine Whalen’s Jazz Squad were all done while producing his own music and six tours in France. (even a concert at the Art Center in the 1980’s with a sextet doing only his original music). www.griffanzomusic.com
