SC39 Ann Ehringhaus + mahaloJazz

We are thrilled to rev up our Serenade Cozy offerings with our great friend Ann Ehringhaus, celebrating her new book of prose and poetry, accompanied by the improvised music of mahaloJazz. Come join us!

Ann says:

Some say poetry makes small details important; others say poetry speaks to the deep concerns of life.

Some say poetry expresses the ineffable; others say poetry makes ordinary life extraordinary life.

How amazing is poetry to be this versatile?!

I graduated with an English degree at UNC Chapel HIll, then veered into other studies including photography, Chinese acupressure, Reiki, Rosen Method Bodywork, ministry, and the joys and challenges of self-employment: owning and operating a Bed and Breakfast on Ocracoke Island for 33 years. Suddenly poetry returned to my life when many life events were too powerful for prose, only poetry could do it. Author of several books, including photography, prose and recently poetry, Poems of Blue and Green, loss and reverence (2020).

Please join us for a fierce variety of gentle and original poems.
